The Mad Mummy WHAT EVIL LURKS PT. 1
One of my favorite fictional characters has always been the Shadow. As a youngster I was always thrilled to hear another radio adventure (my mother was an advocate of TV in the early 50's). When I first started working in comics, I thought the best work being done in the field by the younger generation was certainly Mike Kaluta's take on the Shadow. I thought his artwork perfectly captured the spirit of the character and was amazingly accurate with the 30's atmosphere. As I've aged, I often wondered how the Lamont Cranston dealt with the ravages of time and the changing world he existed in. It was enough to get me started on another Mad Mummy tale of the immortal, Aten Ra, or Adam Ray as he's known in his present surroundings and his feline friend, Mr, Ard . Enjoy.
